The UN association is reaching out. They travel to schools, organizations and workplaces. Being an intern in such an organization means that no two days are the same. This does not mean, however, that the UN association operates without routines and procedures. I received a warm welcome I started my internship at the UN association in late summer, a time many people still associate with sun and free time the delicious last days before work and routines leave their mark on everyday life.
The UN association consists of several departments and I got my internship in the Eastern Region moible number data Department, which is based in Oslo. The reception I received at the UN association exceeded all hopes and expectations, and quickly eased the nervousness I had been holding on to over the summer. The first weeks were spent getting to know colleagues, the various departments and my work tasks. During these getting to know you days, my knowledge of and interest in the UN association s services and social mission increased.

I became extra motivated and got the drive to make the most of my internship. Exciting conversations with colleagues around the lunch table At the UN association, it is a fixed routine that all employees put their work aside at . and go and eat lunch together in the dining hall. over the lunch table quickly became an event I looked forward to, where the everyday talk quickly turned into inspiring conversations about employees unique experiences and backgrounds.
