The COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic has brought uncertain times to everyone, including business owners. People are getting information from all over the world, but social distancing is a common recommendation to reduce the spread of the virus.

The goal is to flatten and flatten the curve to give healthcare organizations a better chance of delivering care to people who need it.

10 tactics to adapt your business to social distancing
Whether you’re a small business like an accounting firm off page seo service or a high-traffic business like a retail store or even a restaurant or cafe, here are 10 things you should consider to help keep yourself, your customers, and your community safe.

1. Inform customers and employees about social distancing
First, give them information. You can check official government and World Health Organization (WHO) data to create informational materials and post them in your business so that everyone knows why social distancing is necessary. Also, show them how COVID-19 is transmitted.

2. Avoid direct physical contact
Physical contact is the fastest and most common way for viruses to spread. Do what you can to limit physical contact between people. Don’t shake hands. Don’t hug. Find other ways to greet people that involve no contact at all.

3. Postpone large-scale events
The recommendation is that, when it comes to taking care of public health, large-scale in-person events should be canceled or postponed. Gatherings of more than 10 people are not recommended.

Musicians, churches, and other businesses that require attendance should consider offering their services online. Look into YouTube Live or ViewSub, a streaming platform for live events.

4. Replace in-person conversations with virtual ones
Instead of holding face-to-face meetings, organize them virtually. In most cases, it’s not difficult to replace these meetings with a video conference or phone call.

Choose a platform that will suit your needs. If it’s a small meeting, Google Hangouts will work. If you need to host a webinar, try Microsoft Teams Live Events.

5. Allow remote work
If your employees can work from home, let them. Facebook, Google, Twitter, Amazon, and GoDaddy are just a few of the companies adopting this model in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

For some industries, remote work still leads to increased productivity, so don’t worry about losing it now. The need for many companies to operate with remote teams is also an opportunity to use fewer resources. You don’t have to go into an office to get a form or report if you can access it remotely.

Find a server or software that can manage your business information so that you can have people working from anywhere. If you have confidential information, such as personal, financial or health data, there are companies that can regulate access.
